“There is a time for everything...” (Ecclesiastes 3:1 NIV).

Grieving with the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings

The bombings at the finish line of the Boston Marathon have sent a shock wave through North America and much of the world. People are reeling in the wake of the chaos.

Thousands of years ago, the author of Ecclesiastes penned words that are relevant to us today:

“There is a time for everything...A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance...a time to be silent and a time to speak” (Ecclesiastes 3:1,4,7, NIV).

Today is a time to mourn.

To those who lost loved ones – we mourn with you.

To those wounded in the blast – we pray for healing of heart and body.

To those who despair in the face of such evil – may you be comforted and find hope in the saving power of Jesus Christ.
