Isaiah means "the salvation of the Lord"

As director of a Samaritan’s Purse partner’s children’s home in Thailand, Marg Baker has seen dozens of orphaned infants flourish in the Father’s love and care. One is named Isaiah.

Isaiah is only five weeks old. His family is heavily involved in the drug trade, and was trying to sell him—they even threw him in the garbage. No one wanted him.

But our God wanted him, and we did too.

With God’s help, the family released him to us just days ago. He is adorable and doing well. We love him so much—I enjoy every moment I spend with him.

God has changed his destiny. He will be raised in the teachings of our Lord, to be in the family of believers that God is raising up in Thailand.  We pray that Isaiah and our other children will believe in Jesus at an early age and walk with Him all the days of their lives.

I am thankful to God for bringing us salvation, which is what the name Isaiah means—and I am thankful to God for bringing us Isaiah!
