Thank You Volunteers!
Today is International Volunteer Day, a day that allows us to celebrate and recognize our wonderful volunteers our serve with us overseas.
On International Volunteer Day, we would like to honor and thank our World Medical Mission and Teams volunteers.
World Medical Mission places Christian physicians, dentists, and other medical professionals in short-term service at mission hospitals and clinics in Africa, Asia, Oceania, Latin America, and the Middle East. These individuals give selflessly of their time and talents, often going the extra mile to serve others while far away from home.
Samaritan’s Purse Mission Teams challenge individuals, families, and churches to serve and connect with new people, places, and cultures in our hurting world. These trips consist of three components: a construction project, a field medical clinic project, and community outreach projects. We connect our teams with partner organizations in areas where Samaritan's Purse has ongoing work, to ensure that each team is contributing to a long-term, sustainable project.
Thank you to all of our international volunteers! In 2014 we had over 300 volunteers serve on our mission teams and medical missions. In 2015 we are gearing up to send over 500 – interested in serving on a team’s mission trip or a medical mission? See here for our 2015 open teams!
