Your Shoebox Gifts Can Help Struggling Children Go To School

October 23, 2014

Operation Christmas Child provides an opportunity for people of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands-on project of Samaritan's Purse that focuses on the true meaning of Christmas - Jesus Christ - God's greatest gift.

Obtaining an education remains impossible for millions of struggling children in the developing world. Why? One reason is because they don't have the school supplies required to attend classes. Pencils, pens, paper, and other items we easily take for granted can be barriers stopping these children from education and transformed lives.

You can help change that by packing school supplies - plus toys and hygiene items - in Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes.

When you and your children practice generosity by shopping for items and packing the shoeboxes, it will enable other kids around the world to received what could be their first gift ever. You also give them the opportunity to know the greatest gift of all, Jesus Christ, through our voluntary follow-up discipleship program called The Greatest Journey. Visit to get involved.
