Do a sponsored swim
Swimming is a fun and healthy activity that many people enjoy so why not take the opportunity to do a sponsored swim at the local pool and involve your friends!
Share the Samaritan's Purse water videos with your friends and encourage them to share the plight of people who don’t have clean water.
Each person can decide how many lengths they want to swim and then get their family or friends to sponsor them – for example, $5 per length. You could do this over several weeks too.
Some other ways to take on a challenge
Gather some fitness enthusiasts at your gym and hold a 24 hour bikeathon (indoor bikes) or swimathon
Zumba the day/night away or take part in an aerobics-athon
Jump out of a plane (with a parachute), or do a sponsored Sky Dive
Raise money overseas on holiday
Combine your holiday with a great challenge: Climb Kilimanjaro, Trek the Inka Trail or the Grand Canyon, Hike to Everest Base Camp, Run the Boston, New York or Berlin Marathons.
