Samaritan's Purse's Disaster Response Unit responded to the wildfires in southern BC.
Samaritan's Purse's Disaster Response Unit (DRU) responded to the wildfires in southern BC. These fires resulted in damage around Oliver and Rock Creek, BC and destroyed 30 homes along Highway 33. The Samaritan's Purse team actively worked in the area with homeowners affected by the fires.
The Samaritan's Purse DRU was stationed at the Midway Community Centre. Our disaster relief team coordinated 83 volunteers and helped 20 homeowners. Over 500 hours were volunteered so far.
