Thank you for 100 Million Shoe Boxes

Thank you for sharing God's love with children around the world through Operation Christmas Child shoe boxes.

In 2013, you helped collect over 664,000 gift-filled shoeboxes. That means more than 664,000 impoverished children in 15 nations, such as El Salvador, Haiti, and Senegal, will open up what could be the first gift they've ever received. As they delight in the contents of their box, they will come to know that not only does someone in far-away Canada care about them, God cares for them, too.

Just as important, connecting with partners in our destination countries and distributing these shoebox gifts often opens the doors for us at Samaritan's Purse to do so much more in their communities. This work can include providing children with clean drinking water, nutritious food, and medical attention.

None of this would be possible without people like you who have caught the vision of this program and decided to be part of it and make your Christmas a little more meaningful. Thank you!

We are so thankful for the 100 million shoeboxes that you have generously helped provide. But there are still millions of children around the world that need to know that God loves and cares for them. Will you help collect the next 100 million shoeboxes? National Collection Week for shoe boxes is November 14 - 20, 2016.

Several seasons of consecutive drought have left millions of people living in northern Kenya in desperate need of food.

A semi-nomadic tribe called the Rendille, living in a rural desert region, has been particularly hard-hit. Without access to fruits and vegetables, children are suffering from nutritional deficiencies. The exceptionally hot, dry climate leaves them vulnerable to dehydration and even death.

Through the work of our partners, 1,300 Rendille children are receiving education - but it's hard to concentrate on school lessons with an empty, aching stomach.

That's why we need your help!

A gift of $20 can provide one month of nutritious meals to a Rendille child, including scarce fruits and vegetables providing essential vitamins and nutrients for their growing bodies and minds.

In the difficult circumstances facing the Rendille people, the gifts of education and nutritious food are practical and meaningful ways to display the compassion and love of Jesus Christ.

What an amazing gift to give a child!

"This porridge is wonderful because it helps the children to benefit. We thank God for this food. We also thank you, and we want you to tell those people from far away who sent it how grateful we are!" - Rendille mother

Your gift of food for Rendille children is making a difference in their lives - just as Operation Christmas Child shoebox gifts from Canadian donors will impact more than 664,000 children this year! Thank you for choosing to share hope, joy, and love with children through your gifts. May God bless you for your kindness.

Ways you can help

Pray that each child who receives an Operation Christmas Child shoebox will know, love, and accept Christ.
