Location: Bolivia

The remote altiplano (highlands) region of western Bolivia sits at 14,000 feet above sea level. The harsh yet beautiful landscape is home to rural communities. The work of Samaritan’s Purse in the region centers on agricultural development, maternal and child health and nutrition, water and sanitation, and leadership development. Supporting sustainable livestock and agriculture projects tackles the underlying causes of poverty in this vulnerable region.
After spending a couple of days in La Paz acclimatizing to the altitude, the team will travel to a community in the altiplano to assist in the construction of barns for milk cows. Constructions skills will be an asset on this team.
