Appointed as Executive Director in March 2006, Fred Weiss is responsible for the overall operations of Samaritan’s Purse Canada (SPC), including its activities in more than 62 countries. He has travelled to over 25 countries to assess refugee and disaster situations, help organize aid programs and share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

The Calgary native is also Executive Director of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association of Canada (BGEAC) since March 2006. The two Calgary-based organizations operate ongoing relief, development, and evangelism programs in more than 40 countries worldwide.
Before becoming Executive Director, Fred served for six years as SPC’s Director of Ministry Support. He joined SPC in 2000 after a successful business career that included 22 years with Telus Inc.—one of Canada’s largest telecommunications corporations. At Telus, Fred held a series of increasing senior management roles in sales, service and operations.
Fred holds MBA and D.Min degrees and has more than 25 years of experience serving as a director with various not-for-profit organizations in Canada.
