Since the initial disaster relief effort following the catastrophic Typhoon Haiyan, Samaritan’s Purse has remained on the ground in the Philippines serving survivors. Meet Jun Relevo, a local Filipino man who is currently employed as a driver with Samaritan’s Purse as we continue to help support victims of Typhoon Haiyan. While Samaritan’s Purse provides initial relief after a disaster, in some cases we also create jobs for those needing a way to self-support their families.

After the devastation of Super Typhoon Haiyan, Operation Christmas Child sent over sixty thousand shoebox gifts to the children of the Philippines to ease their suffering and remind them of God’s eternal love.

When Franklin Graham visited the storm-ravaged nation of the Philippines in November, he met Pastor John Pagliawan who lost his complete library of books in the flood waters. Franklin Graham promised this pastor that he would send a shipment of Bibles, hymnals, and a collection of books by Billy Graham. Just in time for Christmas, this shipment has arrived.

A month after the deadly Typhoon Haiyan, Samaritan’s Purse continues providing medical support through the operation of a mobile field hospital in the town of Palo near Tacloban. Watch as our medical teams drive to outlying areas where people have had no access to medical care since the storm, serving them in Jesus’ Name.
