The people of Ukraine walk in uncertainty, looking up in fear of enemy bombs or missiles. For Kseniya, a resilient mother, thoughts of the ongoing war incite anxiety, fear, and concern about the impact this trauma will have on her children. In a cellar as the bombs exploded overhead, Kseniya held on to her family.
“You can’t mistake explosions for anything else. We cried and prayed to stay alive,” she said.
Amid the hostile environment, Samaritan’s Purse is helping to provide food for Kseniya and other suffering families in Jesus’ Name. Luke 3:11 says, “’He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise.’” We are coming alongside the Ukrainian people during these unpredictable times with tangible help and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Continue to pray for an end to the war in Ukraine and for Samaritan’s Purse staff as we serve those most affected by this conflict. To learn more, go to the landing page detailing our response in Ukraine since the war began in Feb. 2022.
