To the Ends of the Earth
Reach Hard‑to‑Reach Places
Nothing can stop God’s love from reaching people who have never heard the Name of Jesus and live in hard-to-reach areas or in parts of the world that heavily restrict the Gospel. Through Pack a Shoebox Online, you can give shoeboxes that will be specially packed for hard‑to‑reach countries. These gifts provide a creative way for believers to share the Gospel in a culturally sensitive way.
Since 1993
Shoebox gifts have reached children in more than 170 countries—including over 50 hard‑to‑reach nations.

Evangelism and Discipleship
Your shoebox gifts open doors for children to hear the Gospel!
Shoebox gifts reach areas where people have never heard the Name of Jesus.
After receiving a shoebox gift and hearing the Gospel, many boys and girls also participate in our 12‑lesson, follow‑up discipleship program, The Greatest Journey. They learn more about who Jesus is, how to follow Him, and how to share Him with others.

Church Planting
Around 1,000 new churches are planted each year in part because of Operation Christmas Child.
All across the globe, churches are being started as our local ministry partners share the Gospel through evangelistic outreach events and The Greatest Journey discipleship program.
Field Report
New Church in an Empty Field

In a hard‑to‑reach nation, a new church started after an Operation Christmas Child outreach in a place where few people have heard the Gospel.
National volunteers took 300 shoebox gifts to three isolated communities. Travel to this region is dangerous because of rampant highway robberies. But our courageous volunteers went anyway, prayerfully going to reach the children with God’s love.
Without a church in the area, the team hosted an outreach event in a field near one of the towns. Three boys who are deaf and unable to speak were among the children who came and joyfully received a shoebox gift. Afterward, they chose to enroll in The Greatest Journey.
One of our teachers knew sign language and taught the boys, who completed all 12 lessons. Best of all, they put their trust in Jesus Christ, “the author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:2).
But that was just the beginning. The boys and other children didn’t want the Bible lessons to end, so they started a small church with their parents. “After the children’s classes, adults started to attend,” said Helda,* one of The Greatest Journey teachers. “The children started taking the adults,” and a new church is being built. On average, over 1,000 churches are planted each year through Operation Christmas Child. We praise God.
